Hi,
St. George and Cock o' The Trail were at
Hemmed in Hollow on April 9, 2001. We, too, found the site, but not the
letterbox. Attempted the 'easier?' route via the Buffalo River and Kyle's
Landing on the 8th, but got turned back due to high water and swift
current. On the 9th we took the trail from Compton. For two senior
citizens leaving Central New York amidst snow and cold temperatures, the
search was accompanied by a reading of 90 F on my pak thermometer! Enjoyed
our visit to the area though.
